EL Shadai Hill Tribe Project, Thailand EL Shadai is a voluntary Christian project aimed at helping orphaned and underprivileged children. It is certified as an orphanage by the Chiangrai Hill Tribe Development and Willful Center and was officially approved by the Governor of Chiangrai on the 27th of October , 2005. Mr. Surasak Klumsomphan is the project manager, the orphans all live at his Family home which consists of 3 small buildings. The goals of El Shadia are to provide a home, support and upbringing for the hill tribe orphans through Gods Gospel, care and education. Surasak, his Wife and Christians help to teach these Children to overcome their social problems associated with being orphans through human trafficking, divorce, cruelty, and otherwise. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) At present El Shadai is home to 16 children aged between 6 and 15 years, there are 11 girls plus 5 boys. They have study classes similar to the western grade 1 to grade 8, this is all done from home. History; El Shadai is a Christian project which is extremely hard work for this family alone due to the lack of help and funding. They have nurtured and educated children over the past 7 years in their small house complex and always kept their faith in God.
